We recently teamed up with Freedom Bath & Bristol, who felt that their outdated set-up was holding them back.

The Challenge

Freedom Bath & Bristol were using an old IMAP server with limited support for email facilities. This set up provided limitations both in terms of access, support and stability.

The Solution

Having been recommended by another Bristol based charity, Flair 4 IT were chosen to manage the project to move Freedom Bath & Bristol from their existing email infrastructure to Exchange Online. In addition, on-going support was required.

The Result

This project saw 11 users and a total of 20 mailboxes successfully migrated to the new cloud based system. Exchange Online has provided Freedom Bath & Bristol with an email solution that:

        • Improves usability by providing familiar interfaces
        • Provides a web based platform that can be accessed anywhere from any device
        • Increases resilience, reliability and provides greater flexibility

Increasing resilience & continuity for Burnside Chartered Accountants

In previous articles we’ve shared articles that looked at the IT solutions we have delivered for The Nelson Trust,  Venture Insurance and Dorset County Council.

Next in the series we’re going to share insight into project that we delivered for Burnside Chartered Accountants and what they thought of the service we provided.

The Challenge

Burnside Chartered Accountants had the need to implement a disaster recovery solution that would mitigate data loss should a hardware failure occur. With limited internet bandwidth potential cloud backup options were limited and a suitable solution needed to be identified.

The Solution

We selected Microsoft Azure Recovery Services. An initial data backup was undertaken using its Import/Export facility. This allowed an initial large amount of data to be transferred to Microsoft’s data centre causing no impact to the customers existing network.

Following on from the initial data back up the service has been configured to run incremental backups daily with a 7 day retention period or, an extended 3 month period for data specific backups.

Supporting Improved Customer Experience for Dorset County Council

Next in the series we’re going to share some insight on a project that we delivered for Dorset County Council and what they thought of the service we provided.

The Challenge

Dorset County Council identified a need to improve the existing way of handling and processing Blue Badge applications. Project requirements included improving efficiency, automation of the process and ultimately improving the customer experience.

The Solution

After spending time with the client so that we could understand both the current process and overall vision of the project we developed a customized web application that used the secure and reliable hosting platform Microsoft Azure.

We continue to work with Dorset County Council to ensure the system continues to evolve and deliver a positive experience to both customers and users.
